Characters are designed from culture as a starting point. This method of designing will determine the look of the film holistically.
PRECONCEPTS: LAYOUT
At this early stage exploring different enviroments allowed us to determine what locations we needed for the
story whithin the factory. Greek and Chinese aesthetics was once considered as possible art directions.
PRECONCEPTS: PROPAGANDA POSTERS
At this stage the ideal of propagating a superior "Golden Race" and poster composition was explored.
PRECONCEPTS: THE CLAW
In the early stages, an ideal of the dictator never makes an appearance but his presence is always felt. The claw serves as the dictator's long gasp of power whithing the factory.
